So, here I am. Yesterday at age 35. Another birthday and still feeling groovy. As the years roll on I don't really have big events for the day, but I do enjoy doing taking a break & enjoying the simple things even more than usual. Caught up with some family & friends for birthday wishes & general chatting. Spent the day with my fiance, took a stroll around the neighborhood, watched a few movies, Melissa made some tasty cinnamon bread apple bacon grilled cheese sandwiches + bought a cake too, and my mom dropped by. Nothing too extreme, but it felt nice to be acknowledged. So, what's next for the kidult you see before you? The same things that've always been happening - living life & working to make dreams a reality. Now, if you'll excuse me - I've got a couple of kitties to attend to and some storyboards to get started on.
Oh & here's my first decision as a 35 year old: So, I've been doing the whole animation pitching thing over the Summer with a package of a mini-comic and other materials & I've got a little bit of a response, but like with the music that I've made, I might have to do a lot of things on my own; possibly the whole thing. So, today I picked up Toon Boom's Storyboard Pro software and will be working on storyboards and animatics of my dream project to get my goals further off the ground. Maybe this will improve my pitches or maybe I'll get it all done myself some day & build things up grassroots style. We'll see, but in the meantime, in between time- brothers are doing it for themselves.
